Membership of the Ethiopian Organization for Cancer Prevention and Research (CPR – Ethiopia) is open to anyone with an interest in cancer prevention in Ethiopia, and applications are welcome. Members join a body of people working on the same set of questions from different directions — the laboratory and the clinic, the ministry and the kebele, research and personal experience.

Who membership is for

Researchers working on cancer prevention, early detection, health services or tobacco control, whether in Ethiopia or on Ethiopian questions from elsewhere.

Clinicians — doctors, nurses, midwives, health officers and health extension workers — who see cancer patients, or who see the people who will later present with cancer.

Public health practitioners in ministries, agencies, regional health bureaux and non-governmental organisations.

Students in medicine, nursing, public health, epidemiology, health economics and related fields.

Members of the public with an interest in cancer prevention in Ethiopia, including people who have had cancer themselves and people who have cared for someone through it.

A research background or a clinical qualification is welcome but is not required. An interest in the subject is the qualification that matters.
