Much of what we research is a matter of experience: what cancer care costs an Ethiopian household, how far people travel to reach it, and what happens between a positive screening result and the start of treatment. People who have been through those things hold that account first-hand, and it is the account the research is trying to reach. The research and advocacy pages set out the questions we are working on.

Anyone willing to describe their experience of Ethiopian cancer services can write to us at the address on the contact page.

Before telling this organisation anything about yourself

It is reasonable to ask what would be expected of you, what would happen to what you say, who would see it, and whether you can stop at any point — and to ask before giving any information about yourself, not after. The privacy page sets out the position on personal information, and the accountability page sets out our governance arrangements. Both are worth reading first.

Research participation is a separate matter with its own consent process, run by the study rather than by this website. The governance page sets out the committee that reviews research projects.

If you are looking for support

The support pages cover what follows a diagnosis: if you have just been diagnosed, questions to ask, families and carers and practical and financial.
