This page is the record of submissions to consultations, correspondence with ministries and agencies, and public statements by the Ethiopian Organization for Cancer Prevention and Research (CPR – Ethiopia).
What each entry will carry
Each entry will carry the date, who the submission or statement was addressed to, what it covered, and the full text or a link to it where the document sits elsewhere. Where a submission answers a published consultation, the consultation will be named so a reader can see the question that was asked. Where we sign a statement jointly with others, the other signatories will be listed.
What we currently publish
Our policy material is published as briefs, each addressed to the bodies that decide the question it covers:
- Tobacco control in Ethiopia — cigarette tax at 45.9% of retail price in 2024, against a 75% benchmark. The tax share and the benchmark are both WHO’s; the brief carries the citation.
- Cervical screening in Ethiopia — the coverage figure, and the test the 2030 target counts
- Hepatitis B in Ethiopia — a falling child prevalence and 7.66 million people already infected
- Cancer and the household bill — what Ethiopian financing and capacity data show
The positions those briefs support are set out on policy positions, tobacco control and access and equity.
